TRAIN. RACE. GIVE. Phoenix Children's Hospital - Miracles in Motion Challenge El Tour de Mesa "A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step" - Lao-tzu
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY Beginning and experienced athletes are welcome to join.
The Miracles in Motion challenge at Phoenix Children's Hospital is an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to Train, Race and Give and receive expert training and advice along the way from our training partner RaceLab. But more importantly, it's a chance to make miracles happen for our patients. Each Miracles in Motion participant is racing in honor of a former or current Phoenix Children's Hospital patient, building a special bond that will last forever.
Training starts January 12, 2013 and each individual participant and team member is asked to raise at least $1,000 that will benefit Phoenix Children's Hospital. Fundraising tips and a personal fundraising web page help participants reach their goals. All race day entry fees are paid, and RaceLab (Endurance Sports Coaching and Training) will lead the team through an organized training program with weekly workout schedules. Participants also receive free seminars on topics like proper shoes, stretching, injury prevention, nutrition, hydration, and mental and physical preparation for race day.
The program culminates at the El Tour de Mesa Saturday, April 6, 2013.
Individual Members and Teams Members are asked to raise $1000 per person which includes:
