Fetal Care Fund — 1590
3% of all babies born are born with various forms of birth defects. Our program was developed to connect with mom’s during this scary time when they find out that their baby had a congenital defect. Our team of physicians and nurse coordinators work alongside their obstetric caregivers to build a team that will care for their baby after birth. Through Fetal MRI, Fetal Echo and Ultrasound our team of experts may confirm or provider further details about their babies diagnosis. The nurse coordinators then connect the families with the pediatric subspecialist at Phoenix Children’s that will provide education and what to expect with their babies diagnosis. This education development of the team supports and empowers the parents to feel better prepared to care for their baby after birth. This fund was developed to further develop the Fetal Care center in order to help more mom’s and babies in Arizona. Fetal Care Center Fund — 1590.
Transplant Patient & Family Support Fund — 1426
Transplant Family Fund provides assistance to patients and families in their darkest moments. Often transplant families experience prolonged hospitalizations while waiting for organ transplants, they are often separated from their families and support system which greatly impacts their ability to work and maintain financial needs of the household. The fund use includes basic family needs such as rent, meal cards, utilities; after-discharge challenges like transportation, gas and grocery store gift cards. While our support does not relieve all of transplant families stressors, it certainly provides relief and comfort during these difficult times. Transplant Patient & Family Assistance Fund — 1426
Palliative Care Fund — 1247
The bereavement program at Phoenix Children’s provides support to families before, during, and after the death of their child. Post death support is available for 2 years. We send mailings, make follow up phone calls, provide one on one support, have a grief support group on campus, and offer a variety of memorial services for families to choose from to honor their sweet child. The program relies solely on grant funding and donations. Palliative Care Fund — 1247
