Making a Difference for Arizona's Children
Issue 18 - September 2010 |
|
What takes a few minutes of your time but can do years of good for the children in your life?
Voting.
The candidates on your ballot have the power to protect government funding for the things that matter most, like children’s healthcare. That's important for your children and grandchildren because that funding helps Phoenix Children's offer unique programs that are unmatched anywhere in Arizona.
And you have the power to choose who becomes our next set of government leaders. The secretary of state reported voter turnout in this year's primary election was the highest in 20 years - we made a choice, and we made a difference!
This month we offer several ways to find out how the candidates stand on the issues - especially children's healthcare - so you can make an informed decision when you vote. We also offer resources to sort through the 10 propositions on this year's ballot.
For up-to-date information leading up to the Nov. 2 election, please follow the Parent Action Committee on Facebook and Twitter.
