Jaxton was diagnosed with a heart defect before he was even born. Instead of having two valves, his heart only had one big valve. At two months old, Jaxton went into surgery to separate the chambers of his heart. Unfortunately, this was not the end of Jaxton’s story…
Baby Jaxton required another surgery on his tiny heart, as is often the case with children who have similar conditions. The valve of his heart had begun leaking, robbing his body of blood and oxygen.

The Melody valve was put into Jaxton’s heart and as he grows, the size can be adjusted by inserting a catheter, avoiding the need for open heart surgery.
