The Neonatal Resuscitation Program™ is an educational program that introduces the concepts and basic skills of neonatal resuscitation.
A. A comprehensive instructional textbook, which includes an interactive, multi-media DVD-ROM, forms the basic educational component of this program and is available for purchase from the AAP Online Bookstore. The NRP Online Examination, 6th Edition examination --Assesses knowledge of the causes, prevention, and management of mild to severe neonatal asphyxia. Completion of this activity does not imply that an individual has the competence to perform neonatal resuscitation. NRP Testing Material The NRP test covers the material in Lessons 1 through 9 of the Textbook of Neonatal Resuscitation, 6th Edition. For many institutions you must pass ALL 9 Lessons. ***Be sure to take the lessons in order*** If you complete lesson 9 before lessons 5-8, the exam will pass you and you will no longer be able to take these lessons. To obtain an NRP Provider Card: --An individual must successfully complete the NRP Online Examination, 6th Edition and, --Successfully participate in skills and simulation review and testing under the guidance of an NRP Instructor.
