Phoenix Children's Hospital is committed to serving the healthcare needs of children in Arizona and the Southwest. We've witnessed rapid growth in the western region of the Valley, which is already home to more than 300,000 children. Not surprisingly, that number is expected to increase by 14 percent over the next five years.

To address this need, Phoenix Children’s is expanding -- bringing our world-class pediatric care closer to patients and their families through the opening of a network of medical centers in high-growth areas of the Valley. In fact, the West Valley will become home to a new facility: our Phoenix Children’s Specialty and Urgent Care at Avondale.

Located at the intersection of McDowell Road and Avondale Boulevard, Phoenix Children’s purchased this parcel and it is our intent to construct a 30,000-square-foot freestanding center to serve the western region of the Valley. Our Avondale satellite center will complement children's healthcare services already in the community with comprehensive specialty and sub-specialty care on weekdays and advanced pediatric urgent care in the evenings and on weekends.

Our investment in the West Valley is a reflection of its growth – in size and in importance to our entire metropolitan region. These new centers join our growing network of satellite centers that ensure Phoenix Children’s is close to home, wherever you live.
